Brighton Head Coach Roberto De Zerbi to Leave Club

Coach to Leave by Mutual Consent

De Zerbi joined Brighton in 2022

WEB Brighton Hove Albion have announced that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club by mutual consent. De Zerbi joined Brighton on a four-year deal in 2022 after leaving Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 43-year-old Italian has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, who are looking for a replacement for Julian Nagelsmann.

De Zerbi has been praised for his attacking style of play at Brighton, but the team has struggled for consistency this season and currently sits 10th in the Premier League table.

In a statement, Brighton chief executive Paul Barber said: "We would like to thank Roberto for his hard work and dedication during his time at the club. He has made a significant contribution and we wish him well for the future."

De Zerbi's departure leaves Brighton without a manager just three days before the end of the season. The club is expected to appoint a new manager in the coming weeks.
