De Zerbi accuses Stellini of disrespect following Brighton defeat
Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has accused Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini of a lack of respect after watching his side lose 2-0 to Spurs on Saturday.
Stellini, who was in charge of Tottenham in the absence of Antonio Conte, appeared to hint at De Zerbi benefitting from the good job predecessor Graham Potter did prior to leaving for Chelsea in September.
De Zerbi was not impressed with Stellini's comments and hit back at the Italian in his post-match press conference.
"I think he [Stellini] needs to show more respect," said De Zerbi. "I think he needs to understand that I am the coach of Brighton and I am not Graham Potter. I am not here to do the same job as Graham Potter. I am here to do my own job.
"I think he needs to show more respect to me and to my players. I think he needs to understand that we are a good team and we can beat anyone on our day.
"I think he needs to show more respect to the Premier League and to the fans of Brighton and Hove Albion.
